David Maus Automotive Employees Read to Children

Employees from the David Maus Automotive Group Literacy Project volunteered their time to read books to children attending Kids Together Childcare this past Tuesday. Ten people read books to groups of children ages 2 through Pre-K for an hour and then donated 50 Winnie the Pooh books.

The Literacy Project was formed in 2010 as an outreach program for employees with the David Maus Automotive Group to become involved in helping schools by reaching out to students through reading and fundraising. Fundraisers have been held at all four David Maus dealerships, such as book drives and raising money for Library posters.

The Literacy Project is under the CARE Program which is an acronym that stands for Courageous and Respected Employees. The Purpose of this program is to reach out to organizations that have a direct impact on the lives of kids and offer employees VIP benefits within our service and sales departments; family pricing on all vehicles, discounts on servicing your vehicles, and many more perks.

Kids Together Childcare in Oviedo is a nurturing, safe and supportive childcare program designed to provide a wide range of enriching and recreational activities in order that every child discovers a joy in learning and develops a positive self esteem. From infant care to after school care, they provide age-specific activities designed to enhance a child’s growth.

Car and Driver List 2013 Camaro ZL1/Z28 and Corvette as Cars Worth Waiting For

2013 Chevy Camaro

Car and Driver listed 25 Cars Worth Waiting For in this month’s edition with two Chevrolet models at the top of the list – the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1/Z28 and the Chevrolet Corvette.

Believe it or not, Chevy has two new Camaro‘s in its back pocket with one being call the “HP” edition by Insiders which carries the Cadillac CTS-V’s supercharged LSA V-8 engine making at least 550 horsepower, bolted to a six-speed manual. Updated shocks, exhaust systems, a track-ready wheel and tire set-up and a monster engine has this vehicle loaded with overwhelming power and a more historically named ZL1. The ZL1 is set to go on sale in February 2012.

The second model Chevy plans to roll out is the Z28 in April 2012 or what insiders refer to as the “Track Pack” – the hard-core version of Camaro. The power will remain the same but the handling will be its primary focus.

All of the details regarding the Corvette are not yet known, but according to insiders the Corvette will debut a re-style with a slimmed-down rear. Speculation has been made to the split rear window design and an interior make-over with the Y platform essentially unchanged from the C6 and a slight uptick in fuel efficiency. The new Corvette is expected to be in showrooms in the fall of 2012.
